Elsewhere, history repeated itself in the rematch between Macy Chiasson and Pannie Kianzado, with Chiasson scoring a second victory over “Banzai” via rear-naked choke in the marquee bantamweight bout at UFC Fight Night 239. As a result, Chiasson advanced to 135th place among women. She was number 9 in the pound rankings, but her inactivity at featherweight removed her from the voting. This paved the way for Bellator MMA athlete Katerina Shakalova to make her ranking debut.
