Speaking to Boxing Scene, Stevenson spoke about being overlooked despite his qualifications.
Honestly, I don't care. That's the reality. I'm doing this for myself. I'm not doing this for the money or the fame. I don't care about any of that crap. I know my time will come. Tank Davis has no choice but to fight me. At the end of the day, me and him are going to have to fight and that's my chance.
While Stevenson says it doesn't bother him, there's definitely a part of him that feels undervalued. He's been bashing Tank for a while now but hasn't gotten the reaction he'd hoped for yet.
