Sanders had a breakout season in his first season at Colorado, becoming the most talked-about quarterback in the country, as he threw for 3,230 yards with 27 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Sanders, the son of Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders, is a leading Heisman Trophy candidate and potential first-round draft pick after starting his playing career at FCS Jackson State where he threw 70 touchdown passes in two seasons.
Beck may not have the national recognition that Sanders has, but his game is just as strong: The Georgia native completed 72.4 percent of his passes for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions in his first season as a starter.
Beck is expected to compete with Sanders for the top quarterback spot in the 2025 NFL Draft, but is not a strong Heisman Trophy candidate given Georgia's style of play.
Gabriel is coming off a breakout season and will transfer to Oregon from Oklahoma this season. The left-hander scored 42 total touchdowns for the Sooners last season and came to Oregon hoping to follow in the footsteps of Bo Nix, who was a first-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in April. Like Nix, Gabriel will transfer to Oregon and be one of the nation's top recruits in 2024.
In contrast, Ewers has seemed to stay on the college football radar forever, but he won't turn 22 until March. In 2023, he finally lived up to expectations, throwing for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions while leading Texas to the College Football Playoff.
EA Sports will release its first college football game since 2013 on July 19. The company stopped producing college sports releases after being hit with lawsuits over the use of players' names, images and likenesses at a time when players weren't being paid in the NIL.
EA Sports announced plans to revive the series at a time when the NCAA has begun allowing players to make money from naming rights.
The game is considered to be one of the most anticipated sports games in history.
