Despite missing 11 games earlier this season with a torn shoulder, Ducks rookie defenseman Pavel Minchukov has established himself as one of the best rookie blue liners in the NHL this year.
The former No. 10 overall pick ranks third among rookie defensemen in points, assists and points per game, averaging about 19 minutes of ice time per night. .
Minchukov's 28 points in the first 60 games of his career are second only to teammate Cam Fowler (7 wins, 22 points, 29 points) among all-time Ducks defensemen.
As of March 25, Minchukov had points in three of his last four games, including his fourth career NHL goal in an OT loss to Tampa Bay.
