Oklahoma State's 2025 football schedule was released Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday, reports began circulating claiming the SEC would maintain an eight-game conference schedule in 2025, similar to the 2024 conference model.
Shortly after 2 p.m., the SEC announced that the Sooners would play Auburn, Mississippi, Missouri and LSU at home while traveling to Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina. As always, OU will play Texas in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
This is the opposite of Oklahoma's 2024 SEC schedule, where the Sooners will play Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina at home and on the road against Auburn, Mississippi, Missouri and LSU.
Additionally, OU's 2025 non-conference dates include Illinois State on Aug. 30 in Norman and Michigan State on Sept. 6 while traveling to Philadelphia to play Temple on Sept. 13. and a game against Kent State on Oct. 4.
Michigan State, which won the national championship, should be a formidable opponent even with its former head coach. jim harbaughHe is currently the coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.
Oklahoma learned its full 2024 schedule in December, playing eight fellow SEC teams during the conference's inaugural season. The Sooners do not yet know the date and time of his SEC schedule in 2025, but Justin Hokansson indicates a slight adjustment to conference-wide kickoff times.
Additionally, the game against Kent State is set for Oct. 4, 2025, and OU's game against Texas State in the Cotton Bowl is set for Oct. 11.
