The U.S. Team Gymnastics roster for the 2024 Olympics will soon be taking shape.
Dozens of American gymnasts will compete for a spot in the Paris 2024 Games at the Olympic team trials in Minneapolis.
The 36 athletes are led by seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles, who is looking to compete in her third consecutive Olympics. Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles and Suni Lee are also looking to defend their spots after winning medals at the pandemic-delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Meanwhile, six-time world medalist Leah Jones is one of the favorites to make the Olympic team.
On the men's side, Brody Malone, Yul Moldauer and Shane Wiskas will return from the 2020 Olympic team and compete in the trials. Also competing for the team spot are Asher Hong, Paul Judah, Fred Richard and Koi Young, who all teamed with Moldauer to win the team bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships. The bronze medal marks the U.S. men's first team medal at an Olympic or World Championships since 2014.
