In our latest SB Reacts, we asked Utah Jazz fans which prospects they like in the draft and what the Jazz should do in a trade. What we realized is that there is no clear path that jazz fans want to follow.
Before we consider whether Jazz fans said they wanted to trade up or down in the draft, let's take a look at who they would want to draft if the status quo remained. One thing is clear: Jazz fans are interested in drafting Ron Holland.
Holland will be a swing-for-the-fence type of pick. He has great size, athleticism and physical means. The question for him is whether he can understand his shot. Throughout the G League Ignite season, Holland shot just 23 percent from 3-point range. But given Holland's size, defensive intensity and athleticism, the 10-year-old could be a real steal if he can figure out his shot.
The next question we asked was whether Jazz fans think the Jazz need to break out of the top 10 due to talent upgrades. Surprisingly, a small majority said yes.
This really surprised me, but maybe I shouldn't have. Considering this isn't the strongest draft, I can also see why some fans would want to look for a proven player if the Jazz's goal is to compete next year.
Lastly, I also asked if the Jazz should make a trade to move up in the draft, which is consistent with what we saw in the previous question.
But what's interesting about these different answers is that jazz fans are quite divided in their opinions about jazz activities. Good luck Danny Ainge, it looks like half the jazz nation isn't happy with what you're doing.
