Ryan Garcia posted and deleted a cryptic casting call for a “special project” in Dallas.
The 25-year-old's problematic behavior continued Saturday, ahead of his April 20 game against Devin Haney, when he posted a list with specific requirements for each role. The post was deleted shortly after.
The top of the post read, “Urgent casting call for special project.” “All roles will be played tomorrow (3/24) in Dallas.”
Garcia's casting calls called for a woman in her 30s or 40s to play the mother, a “video bitch” in her 20s or 30s to play the lover, and a man in his 30s or 40s who owns a tuxedo to play the butler. It was getting worse. The referees are men in their 40s to 60s.
Director Garcia also called for extras to be over the age of 18, writing: “It's a bonus, but not required, if they bring a professional camera and flash (as a prop, not an intended use).”
The listing requires prospective buyers to email their name, photo, desired role and Instagram handle.
“Serious inquiries only,” he captioned it. “I paid. Great opportunity.'
Garcia's behavior on social media has raised concerns among fans about his mental health. Some argue that the Victorville, Calif., native shouldn't fight Haney next month.
The level of concern for Garcia peaked on March 3, when a mysterious and disturbing video was posted on social media accounts claiming that he died after having his “throat cut”.

Garcia posted a topless photo on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, revealing he was looking for a girlfriend. The post came after announcing her relationship with influencer Michaela Testa in February following her divorce from Andrea Serena.
Even after he vowed to stop his social media antics to focus on training, Garcia's claims continued to be controversial, attacking Prime founders Logan Paul and KSI and their companies. .
'What's in Prime? Find out,' he told Aldin Ross. “There's cyanide in there, cyanide will kill you.” They don't care about kids, they're doing sick things, brother.
Mr Garcia also led calls for controversial influencer Andrew Tate to be “freed” after he was arrested and released in Romania on a UK sexual assault warrant.
“#FreeTateBrothers,” Garcia wrote on X after his interview with Tate in X, where the boxer further elaborated on the human trafficking allegations.
Garcia will face Haney for the WBC super lightweight title. Garcia owns a 24-1 record and just defeated Oscar Duarte by knockout in round eight in December. Meanwhile, Haney remains undefeated at 31-0 with back-to-back wins over Regis Prograis and Vasyl Lomachenko.
