Ryan Garcia vows to “defeat” WBC light welterweight champion Devin Haney on April 20th. Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) said he is in great shape and ready to fight 30 rounds if necessary.
Garcia said if Haney escapes, he will hunt her down like a “lion” and if he catches her, he will knock her out at the DAZN PPV headliner at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Conditioning has never been an issue for Ryan throughout his career. His only loss came against Gervonta Davis due to his rib injury.
Ryan says he will be prepared for Haney's “cheating” tactics, especially holds. He warned that if Haney clinched non-stop, it would be cheating and he would “bite” Haney's hand.
Garcia's offensive strategy
“It's true that I'm in good shape. In fact, I know I can go 30 rounds now,” Ryan Garcia said on social media. “It's really impossible for them to stop fighting unless I stop fighting.
“When that guy gets tough, I'm going to hunt him down like a lion. When I smell blood, I'm going to run after him. I'm not going to let him hold me. If he holds me, I'm going to run after him. bites his hand because that's cheating too. You can't keep fighting forever. That's cheating,” Ryan said.
Hopefully, Ryan doesn't choose to bite Haney. If you do, you will definitely be disqualified on the spot.
Ryan: “Destroy him.”
“I'm going to destroy him. You'll see the difference between a generational fighter and a fighter who's only here for a moment,” Ryan continued, speaking about the difference between himself and Devin Haney.
Haney is difficult to hit because he holds his left side far forward, making it difficult to hit cleanly.
“If my punch connects solid, I'm not going to let him go like Linares. Because it was nearing the end.
