LSU's football staff continues to pursue James Simon from Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist Academy as recruiting ramps up significantly this spring.
Simon, a four-star in the 2025 cycle, has traveled around the country numerous times over the past few months with an eye toward making his commitment known sooner rather than later.

Yes, LSU has a running back room of the future in Durham, Berry and Lindsay, not to mention current young players Caleb Jackson and Trey Holly. But at the end of the day, Wilson could potentially take over a back three in the 2025 cycle.
LSU will continue to track Simon into December, the early signing period when he begins to put pen to paper.
Although there are still not committed According to both recruiting services On3 and 247Sports, all signs continue to point to the Texas Longhorns beating out several programs and fulfilling their commitment sooner rather than later.
