After a week-long hiatus, UFC returns to Denver for a night of more action-packed fights than you'd expect.
UFC News: Lightweight stars reportedly set to compete in five-round bout in Paris
Former two-time strawweight champion Rose Namajunas returns, this time to face Tracy Cortez, who replaced the injured Maycee Barber in a last-minute bout in a high-stakes main event that will determine whether Namajunas is still at the top of the sport.
Fremd vs. Petroski, Blackshear vs. Jackson
UFC Denver started off strong with Josh Fremd vs. Andre Petroski, two fighters who aren't afraid of a stand-up kickboxing match. Then we have a fight between two of the top bantamweight prospects. Damon Blackshear has one of the three Twister submissions in UFC history, and his opponent, Montel Jackson, is one of the most promising prospects in the 135-pound division.
Fatima Klein's debut
Unbeaten strawweight fighter Fatima Klein is one of the region's most promising prospects as she takes on Jasmine Jasdavicius in place of Vivienne Araujo. A former two-time Cage Fury champion, Klein is expected to be highly anticipated in her UFC debut, and Jasdavicius is sure to be no easy underdog.
Joshua Vann's Return
Is Joshua Vann a contender yet? Vann has burst onto the flyweight stage with impressive wins over Felipe Bunes, Kevin Borjas and Zargas Zhumagulov. He'll face former LFA champion Charles Johnson, who is coming off a return to form with a win over Jake Hadley back in May.
Rodriguez vs. Elosa
Christian Rodriguez is on a roll and finally heads into a high-profile bout against Julian Erosa. Rodriguez has broken his unbeaten streak with three straight wins over Raul Rosas Jr., Cameron Siman and Isaac Dalgaryan. Though the result of the Dalgaryan fight was controversial, Rodriguez still showed what he can do. He heads into a tough matchup with Erosa, a UFC veteran who boasts an impressive 83 percent finish rate.
Gabriel Bonfim's return
Gabriel Bonfim is the more accomplished of the Bonfim brothers, having never finished in the final round in his 16-fight pro career. Bonfim will be looking to bounce back after suffering his first defeat at the hands of Nicolas Dalby, and standing in his way will be Ange Rossa, who also has a chance to overcome a disappointing no-contest from his last bout.
Jean Silva's sudden turn of events
Two weeks after suffering his first knockout loss to Charles Jourdan at UFC 303, Jean Silva replaces Mike Davis in the fight against Drew Dober. With their hard-hitting punches and death-by-sword styles, Dober and Silva both love to fight hard, and this bout certainly won't disappoint.
