Scott's draft states:
“Holland is an athletic player you want in the trenches next to you,” an NBA executive told HoopsHype. “He's a tough customer. He's limited by being a straight-line driver and needs to organize his decision-making to reduce turnovers. Like a lot of players coming into the league, he's limited by the range of his shots. He's going to have to work on his accuracy. He's a competitor.”
“Caris Levert “He handles a little better and his shot is more consistent, but Holland reminds me somewhat of who he was when he first came out,” an NBA scout told HoopsHype.
“I feel like I'm a really good finisher,” Holland told HoopsHype. “I can hit spot-up shots. I can shoot off the dribble a little bit, but I feel like I need to do everything consistently, like ball handling and tight ball pressure. Everyone puts a lot of pressure on me. I'm starting out and realize I'm a little weak in that regard, but that's what I've been working on and that's why I'm at Ignite. They're helping me expand my game overall. There's nothing wrong or impossible, but there are definitely things you can do to grow and become stronger.
At the G League Showcase, a handful of scouts and executives likened Holland to a young Gerald Wallace, a one-time All-Star small forward with the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2009-10 season.
“Holland is a functional NBA wing,” an NBA scout told HoopsHype. “He's not great at handling or shooting, but he's good enough at this point. He's a tough rebounder.”
“Holland can guard well and can move his feet defensively,” an NBA executive told HoopsHype. “He doesn't back down from anyone, and I think he can be a part of the rotation next season.”
