The Arkansas Tech University Employee Senate has established a recognition program for ATU employees on the Russellville campus and identified the inaugural recipients of three new awards.
Daniel Rand, assistant director and database administrator for academic computer support, has been named the 2023-24 ATU Employee of the Year.
Land has been on the staff at Arkansas Tech University since 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Information Technology from ATU.
Event Management Coordinator Rachel Broussard received the 2023-24 ATU Service Award.
A member of the ATU staff since 2018, Broussard graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master of science degree in university student human resources.
Krystle Manning, patrol sergeant for community engagement in the ATU Department of Public Safety, has been awarded the 2023-24 ATU Community Service Award.
Manning joined the ATU Department of Public Safety in 2019. She completed her associate's degree at Arkansas Tech University this spring and is pursuing her ATU bachelor's degree in organizational leadership.
Award recipients were notified directly by ATU Interim President Dr. Russell Jones, with assistance from ATU Staff Senate Officers Christian Thompson (President) and Connie Herring (Vice President).
