Quebec-based Samurai MMA will hold its second card of 2024, Samurai MMA Chapter 10, on Friday night. As part of the promotion's new media rights deal with UFC's subscription-based streaming platform, Friday's card will air in both English and French on Fight Pass starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. In total, barring any last-minute adjustments between now and fight day, Samurai MMA Chapter 10 will feature 11 bouts.
The super welterweight title will be on the line in the main event of Samurai MMA Chapter 10 on Friday night.
The highlights of the night are three title fights, the main attraction being the 175-pound bout. You don't see a lot of super welterweight bouts in North American MMA, but on Friday night Samurai MMA's super welterweight championship is on the line.
Current champion Jonathan Ramsey (5-0 MMA, 5-0 Samurai MMA) will be taking on the challenger of the season. Ultimate Fighter A rematch against challenger Danny Mallett (5-1 MMA, 3-1 Samurai MMA) is scheduled for the main event of Samurai MMA Chapter 10 on the television series.

Ramsey returns to main event at Samurai MMA Chapter 10
Jonathan Ramsay is undefeated in his professional MMA career. Prior to his first bout with Danny Mallett, he defeated LUX Fight League veteran Ramon Grano (11-8-1 MMA, 0-1 Samurai MMA) by knockout at the end of the second round last May.
Ramsay was originally scheduled to defend his Samurai MMA super welterweight championship against Dejan Kajic (16-8-2, 0-1 Samurai MMA) at Samurai MMA Chapter 9 on February 2, but the bout was canceled due to Ramsay's suspension. Ultimate Fighter On ESPN.
Ramsay's chances of signing with UFC fell through and he's now back in Canada, having not made the final roster for the show's 32nd season. But the champion nicknamed “Kill Him!” has won 13 straight MMA bouts dating back to his amateur days and could find himself on UFC CEO Dana White's shortlist for a promotion if he successfully defends his belt in Friday night's Samurai MMA Chapter 10 main event.
Will he be able to defend his title? Only time will tell.
Danny Mallett has revenge on his mind on Friday night.
Meanwhile, Danny Mallett has a 4-1 record in his last five MMA fights. Last September, he defeated Carlos Paita (3-4 MMA, 0-1 Samourai MMA) at Triller TV's Samourai MMA Chapter 8, scoring a first-round knockout in just 25 seconds.
Mallett's game plan is driven by a single motivation: revenge. The memory of his first bout with Jonathan Ramsey is no doubt still fresh in his mind. How did he adjust his game plan from that first showdown with the champion to evening the score on Friday night?
Please watch and find out.
Analysis, Film Study and Predictions
Samourai MMA Chapter 10 The main event will see another showdown of strength vs strength. Who will emerge victorious?
Jonathan Ramsay doesn't joke
With 13 combined amateur and pro wins, Jonathan Ramsey is a fighter who can get the job done quickly, as evidenced by his upcoming bout against Colton Boxell in February 2023.
Immediately after the starting signal was given, Ramsay landed a rapid succession of punches to take Boxell down, knocking him out in just six seconds.
Be careful when Jonathan Ramsey launches his attack in the main event of Samurai MMA Chapter 10.
Danny Mallett can work quickly too.
Meanwhile, Danny Mallett could also provide some highlights – just check out the video of his boxing match against Juan Nava last fall.
In the first of four scheduled rounds, Mallett landed a punch to Nava's body, and Nava tapped his gloves as if to say, “Come on, give me another one.” Echoing the adage “be careful what you wish for,” Nava received another punch that sent him slamming into the ring ropes.
Nava was unable to beat the count and Mallett scored a knockout in his boxing debut, so it will be exciting to see Mallett try and counter punch on Friday night.
