Durham, North Carolina – Duke University football announced Thursday that influencer and content creator Rachel DeMita will serve as the new in-stay video board and social media game-day host.
DeMita's energy and extensive sports knowledge will enhance the Duke game day experience for fans both at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium and watching at home.

DeMita brings a wealth of knowledge to the role as creator, host and executive producer of Courtside Club, a digital show featuring sports and pop culture commentary and interviews with top athletes, celebrities and social media stars. In just two years, Courtside Club has garnered over 100 million viewers across various platforms. This summer, DeMita joined Ice Cube's The Big 3 as a sideline reporter and commentator for CBS Sports and @X.
DeMita has been an NBA digital host for over 10 years and has worked on multiple shows including “Rising Stars Report” featuring interviews with the NBA's top rookies, the NBA All-Star Media Day live cast, NBA in-season tournament coverage, the NBA Draft and Summer League. DeMita previously produced Overtime's original series “Out of Breath” and has worked with athletes and celebrities such as Mark Cuban and Jason Williams. He has also worked to host content for NBA 2KTV, the NFL, the NCAA Men's Final Four, the Big 12 National Championship Game, the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, Bleacher Report, DraftKings TV and Snapchat Sports Network.
With the addition of Demita, Duke plans to announce additional game-day enhancements over the coming weeks.
Duke's 2024 season opener is scheduled for Friday, August 30, when they will host Elon University at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium with a kickoff of 7:30 p.m.
