Footage from the 2021 Championship match has resurfaced on social media site TikTok, with Prince George's adorable soccer celebration shared with his parents Prince William and Princess Kate the focus of a new viral video.
Prince George, the eldest of Prince William and Duchess Kate's three children, will celebrate his 11th birthday on July 22nd. The prince's public profile has increased since his grandfather Charles III ascended the throne and served as Page of Honor at his last coronation. May.
George has accompanied his parents to several high-profile sports matches in recent years, including soccer and rugby.
Most recently, the royal was photographed with his father praising Aston Villa soccer team during a match against France's Lille OSC (LOSC) on April 11.
Since the April 12 match, Royal fans have been sharing clips and footage on social media about the royal family and their interest in the sport, including one of them celebrating a goal during an important international soccer match. A video of George, William and Kate competing in the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament final (held in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic), uploaded to TikTok by user princess__jo on April 18, went viral. It has received over 140,000 views on social media. Media site, so far.
The footage shows George jumping up and hugging his mother and father in celebration after England scored an early goal against Italy.
The match ended in a draw and went to penalties, with England losing 3-2.
The video has so far received over 3,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which were complimentary of the royal family.
“Such a great family,” one TikTok user wrote.
“I love this so much,” wrote another. “They're so great. George is such a gentleman and it's great to see him happy and able to celebrate in that moment.”
George and his siblings, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte and six-year-old Prince Louis, have gained a growing fan following in recent years and are often highly anticipated for their appearances at public events.
The children last appeared together in public at the royal family's annual Christmas Day walk at Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England.
George, Charlotte and Louis walked with their parents and other family members, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, to St Mary Magdalene Church on the grounds, where they met well-wishers after the service.
