PrimAgro C-Tech’s first TFI certified biostimulant
The Fertilizer Institute's Certified Biostimulant Program is raising product standards for producers.
Corey Rosenbush, president and CEO, said nutrients, including biological nutrients for brownfield crops, are regulated at the state level and compliance can be difficult.
“We're taking the standards that the industry has been working on that look at efficacy testing methods, safety, and ingredients, and making sure that when producers look at their products and begin to understand how they work, “We built the certification so that we understand how it works. Make sure there's some kind of rigor,” he says.
AgroLiquid CEO Nick Bancroft told Brownfield that the company's PrimAgro C-Tech biostimulant has passed rigorous certification standards and that he hopes this process will bring consistency to the industry. Ta.
“We needed certification of raw materials, quality tests, and manufacturing processes, as well as field studies with statistically relevant results,” he says.
Rosenbusch said the American Association of Plant Food Stewardship Officials and the National Association of USDA plans to use the label as a baseline in the approval process.
Brownfield interviewed both men Monday at an awards ceremony in St. John's, Michigan.
