as US Olympic Trials Although it was held over the weekend at the Bryce Jordan Center, wrestling fans had the opportunity to attend a free Fan Fest held across the street at the Pegula Ice Arena on Friday and Saturday.
Fan Fest turns out to be a great opportunity for wrestling fans to meet up with friends and grab a bite to eat. Fans were able to check out numerous pro wrestling exhibits and merchandise.
The line was packed, filled with wrestling fans seeking autographs.
Bo Nickal, an Olympic medalist, former three-time Penn State national champion, Hodge Trophy winner and undefeated mixed martial arts star, met with fans and signed autographs along with Republican Senate candidate Dave McCormick.
American Wrestling Head Freestyle Coach Bill Zadick recently interviewed Nickal and McCormick, who ran a campaign ad about the influence of Pennsylvania Wrestling and how wrestling has impacted their lives.
Towards the end of the event, FloWrestling hosted a podcast live for fans to tune in.
In the end, three members of the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club earned spots on the U.S. Olympic team for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Aaron Brooks, Kyle Dake and Kyle Snyder will each represent the red, white and blue in Paris this summer.
