Peyton Manning and Kelly Clarkson will join Mike Tirico during NBC's coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The trio announced on Tuesday's episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that they will be hosting the broadcast of the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 26th.
The Paris Games will be Tirico's fourth consecutive Opening Ceremony, while Manning and Clarkson, hosts of NBC's “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” will make their Olympic broadcast debuts.
Clarkson, a three-time Grammy Award and multiple Emmy Award winner, also hosted the 2023 NFL Honors Awards Ceremony. Manning, a Pro Football Hall of Famer and Super Bowl winner, is the co-host of “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli.” ESPN's brother Eli Manning.
Events during the opening ceremony are scheduled to begin at 8:24 PM local time, 2:24 PM ET.
The opening ceremony in Paris will be unique, with Olympians arriving by boat along the Siène River rather than entering the stadium as in previous editions. The ceremony is expected to involve approximately 160 boats and more than 10,000 athletes.
NBC's networks and streaming services (NBC, NBCSN, CNBC, USA Network, Olympic Channel, Golf Channel, Telemundo Deportes, NBCOlympics.com and Peacock) will provide extensive coverage of the Paris Games, including the Opening Ceremony.
