Peter McGrail will aim to get back to winning ways when he takes on Liverpool's Mark Leach on April 27th on Matchroom Boxing NXTGEN. The match will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN.
McGrail is a decorated amateur fighter and won gold medals from 2014 to 2019. Liverpool-born McGrail, a European Games and Commonwealth Games medalist, has had a successful start to his career. He suffered an upset knockout loss to Jarico O'Quinn in December.
A rematch was booked until O'Quinn had to withdraw for personal reasons. The prospect would have been keen to avenge his early career, but will now have his sights set on new challenges.
Salford's Leach turned professional in 2014. He is a former British bantamweight and super bantamweight champion who has fallen on hard times. Leach, who is on a two-game losing streak, is looking to get back to winning ways, starting with the McGrail.

“It's a huge opportunity to get my name back in the public eye,” Leach told Boxing News. “My last two performances have been below average, but I had my own reasons for that. I won't go into those reasons now, but on April 27th I will show what I am capable of once again. Back to my best.”
The card also features an IBF lightweight title fight between Beatriz Ferreira and Yanina del Carmen Lezcano, as well as a matchup with Joe McGrail, Peter's younger brother.
