Hockey Canada announced Tuesday that Pittsburgh Penguins president of hockey operations and general manager Kyle Dubas has been added to the operations team for next year's Four Nations Tournament and men's Olympic team.
Dubas, who served as assistant general manager at the World Championships a few months ago, will serve as director of player personnel for next February's Four Nations Face-Off in Montreal and Boston, a tournament featuring teams from the United States, Canada, Sweden and Finland.
The complete 4 Nations Face-Off team will be announced between November 29th and December 2nd.
Dubas would then go on to win the same title with Canada's 2026 Olympic team.
In the same announcement Tuesday, Tampa Bay's vice president of hockey operations and general manager Julien Brisbois was named assistant manager for Canada's Four Nations Tournament and assistant GM for the 2026 Olympics, marking his managerial debut on the international stage.
“Julian and Kyle are both accomplished general managers in the NHL and we are excited to welcome them to both the 4 Nations Faceoff and Olympic management groups as we believe they will be strong assets to a well-rounded management team,” Doug Armstrong, general manager of Canada's 4 Nations Faceoff team, said in a statement.
“Both Julian and Kyle have had long and successful careers and we are confident their experience and knowledge of NHL players will be a great addition to our staff as we evaluate Canada's players and assemble our roster for international competition.”
