The Pella Christian women's tennis and men's soccer teams will resume action Monday after taking the weekend off.
The Eagle Girls, who opened their season Thursday, will be competing for the third time in five days after their originally scheduled debut game was postponed for the ninth day. Pella Christian heads to Seidel on Monday looking to improve to 2-1 after a dominant win over Oskaloosa on Thursday and a sweep by Pella on Friday. On the other side of the all-Eagles showdown, the Seydel Eagles are looking for their first win of the spring after losses to Nevada and Iowa Falls-Alden. Monday's matchup between Pella Christian and Seidel will be the fourth in the Bound era, with PC winning each of the past three meetings.
The Pella Christian boys soccer team will also be in action for the third time in five days on Monday, this time traveling to Des Moines Christian. The Eagles are now 3-1 overall after a 4-0 win over Clark on Thursday and a 6-4 win over Albia on Friday. The Lions struggled through their opening three games, losing to Gilbert, Van Meter and Dallas Center Grimes, a combined 19-3 loss. Monday's meeting will be the 11th meeting between the two schools since 2015, with Des Moines Christian historically favored. The Lions have won seven of the last 10 games between the teams, but the Eagles won last year's meeting 5-3.
Monday's Pella Christian women's tennis game at Seidel is scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m., and the Eagles men's soccer game at Des Moines Christian is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
