The 76ers have reportedly agreed to a deal with nine-time All-Star Paul George to bolster their championship hopes.
The deal is reportedly worth four years and worth $212 million, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
George was an All-Star with the Pacers, Thunder and Clippers.
The Clippers announced they were parting ways with George on Sunday night.
“We made a lot of trades to pair Paul with Kawhi. [Leonard] ]Instead, we competed for five seasons,” the statement read. “While we fell short of our ultimate goal, we are grateful for the opportunity we had.”
The 76ers already boast 2022-23 MVP Joel Embiid and 2023-24 Most Valuable Player Tyrese Maxey.
Philadelphia went 31-8 with Embiid in the starter last season but went 16-27 without him.
Philadelphia lost to the Knicks in the first round of the 2024 playoffs.
The team has lost in the second round of the playoffs in five of the past seven seasons.
George is looking to win the first title of his illustrious career, while the 76ers are seeking their first NBA championship since 1983.
