Paddy Pimblett is set to complete his contract at UFC 304 and has his eye on Jake Paul.
Pimbrett said he plans to fight out his contract and may become a free agent to make as much money as possible. Ahead of his UFC 304 bout, Pimbrett said he would be interested in facing Jake Paul in a boxing match, knowing it would be well worth the money.
“If Jake Paul sends me a multi-million dollar contract and says he wants to fight me, let's do it. At the end of the day, we're prize fighters. People forget that. We're prize fighters, we do it for the money. It's all about the money,” Pimblett told Best Online Poker Sites.
Paddy Pimblett is interested in boxing Jake Paul, but the difference in build between the two makes the fight unlikely, and Pimblett is focused on fighting Bobby Green and is likely to re-sign with UFC.
Meanwhile, Jake Paul is set to return to the ring on Saturday to face Mike Perry, which came as a surprise to Paddy Pimblett as he didn't expect the YouTuber to face someone like Perry.
“I'll give Jake Paul credit for that. I didn't think he'd fight someone like Mike Perry. He's fought a lot of f****** crabs and f****** clowns. He fought Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley and they were both over 40. Anderson's a Thai boxer and Woodley's a wrestler. But Mike Perry's a boxer, he's a striker and he's got punching power. So, to be honest, Jake Paul has earned a little bit of respect from me. I didn't think he'd fight someone as good as Mike Perry so it'll be good to see how he does. It'll be interesting to see how he does,” Pimblett concluded.
Paul is the favorite to beat Perry on Saturday night.
