Ontario Tech University has announced the newest members of its Board of Governors, who were selected for their professional experience, skills, leadership and community involvement.
In 2024, five external members joined the board.
- Nolan Bederman, Founder and Managing Partner, Bederman Capital Corporation
- Paul Barnes, CEO of SkipTheDishes
- Neeraj Glotla, vice president of enterprise technology, Gildan
- Laura Money, Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Technology Innovation Officer, Sun Life
- Susanna Zagar, CEO, Ontario Energy Commission
In addition, the following internal trustees, representing constituencies within Ontario Tech’s campus community, were elected in March and their terms will begin in September:
- Administrative staff governor: Matthew McKenzie, Director of Government Relations (re-elected)
- Faculty General: Dr. Ahmad Barari, Professor, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences (re-elected)
- Student President: Peter Malcat, fourth-year mechanical engineering student
Reappointment and new role:
- The Board also re-elected Laura Elliott as Chair and welcomed Eric Agius to the position of Vice Chair, both for one-year terms.
