Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of drunk driving. The Oklahoman confirmed.
As first reported Monday night by News On 6 in Tulsa, citing an Oklahoma State Highway Patrol charging affidavit, Gordon was stopped on Interstate 35 near SW 19th Street in Moore, south of Oklahoma City, after officers reported Gordon was driving 82 mph in a 65 mph speed limit zone and had drifted out of his lane twice.

According to a report obtained by authorities, The OklahomanOfficers who pulled Gordon over around 2:30 a.m. reported detecting an “odor associated with an alcoholic beverage” coming from the 20-year-old. Gordon denied having alcohol and said he was around friends who were drinking. He then refused field sobriety tests and told officers he had had one alcoholic drink, the report states.
According to the report, the officer asked Gordon if he had any alcohol in the vehicle and Gordon responded that he had two open containers of alcohol. The officer then reported finding “a half-full bottle of lemonade vodka and a half-full bottle of tequila.”
According to the report, the officer again asked Gordon if he wanted to submit to a field sobriety test, but Gordon again refused. Gordon was then arrested on suspicion of driving while under the age of 21, carrying an open container of alcohol, failure to control traffic in a single lane, and speeding 10 to 20 miles over the limit.
According to the report, Gordon was tested twice at the jail and had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.11 and 0.10. The legal drinking limit in Oklahoma for those 21 and over is a BAC of 0.08.

When reached for comment by the USA Today Network about reports of Gordon's arrest, a spokesperson for Oklahoma State University said the university is aware of the situation but has no further comment at this time.
Gordon, a junior on the Ohio State football roster, is coming off a breakout season in which he won the Doak Walker Award as the nation's top running back. The Fort Worth, Texas, native is coming off a breakout season in which he rushed 285 times for 1,732 yards (6.1 yards per attempt) and 21 touchdowns.
