Athletes from across the country are competing for a spot on Team USA, with one week left before this year's destination, Paris. Those athletes are taking on the waters right here in Oklahoma City. Some people are showing off their talent today. Coco Elise Jones showed a glimpse of herself at her Olympic trials. Athletes battle the winds of Oklahoma, venture into these waters and prepare for challenges that could earn them a spot on Team Her USA. It's very fulfilling. That's also exciting. It's the kind of thing we all strive for and the kind of childhood dream for most of us. A lifetime's work, all for this moment. Here in Oklahoma City, athletes from all over the country are gearing up to get a peek at what they have to win to get to Paris. This is the best run I've ever recorded. To be honest, just like me, I need to end my life. And as well as my expectations at this point, I honestly think. I just want to show what I can do. Um, and just, you know, even though the nerves were high, regardless of the outcome, be proud of the run that I scored. It's very thrilling. It can be a lot of pressure, but I take it positively. But the end goal is just around the corner. Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt has raced down rapids himself. I'm glad to have so many cameras here on his last day as mayor. This is really, really exciting and gives Oklahomans the courage to show their support for the athletes who have the potential to win gold and get on the podium this summer. This only happens once every few years, so we really want to get the word out and we want to put on a strong show. Trials will be held at River Sports on April 26th and 27th.
