Columbus, Ohio – Ohio State's 2024 schedule, announced today, highlights 10 home games, including four against Big Ten opponents. The Buckeyes will play 18 regular season games, starting Friday, Aug. 31 against UAlbany.
The Buckeyes will play seven games against teams in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, three of which will be in non-conference competition. The Big Ten slate will feature home games against Michigan State, Penn State, Indiana and Iowa State.
Ohio State's opening weekend of the season will be held from August 30th to September. The Buckeyes take first place by hosting UAlbany and Bucknell, the 2022 America East champions. This comes ahead of a four-game road trip that includes games against Syracuse (Sept. 8) and Old Dominion (Sept. 15), two teams that played in last season's NCAA Tournament.
A three-game homestand begins Sept. 20 at home against Michigan State, followed by games against Brown (Sept. 22) and Louisville (Sept. 29). From there, his October schedule includes road games at Michigan (October 6), Maryland (October 18), Rutgers (October 20) and Northwestern (November 1). . Home games at Buckeye Varsity Field include Penn State (October 11), Kent State (October 13), Indiana (October 25) and Iowa State (October 27). , against Central Michigan State (Nov. 3). The game against Chippewa will also be on Senior Day.
The 2024 Big Ten Tournament will be held this year from November 7th to 10th at the field hockey and lacrosse complex on the University of Maryland campus.
Ohio State is coming off one of its most successful seasons ever, finishing with a 14-6 record, including ranked wins over No. 8 Michigan, No. 1 Iowa, and No. 14 Penn State. . The Buckeyes return their top two scorers (Makenna Webster and Brenna Beau) and starting goalie (abby danson).
