OAKLAND – The Oakland Roots and Oakland Soul soccer teams will play home games at the Oakland Coliseum in 2025, according to a decision made Friday by stadium officials.
The Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Authority unanimously voted to authorize the executive director and AEG, which manages the stadium and Oakland Arena, to enter into licensing agreements with Oakland Pro Soccer, which owns the stadium and both clubs. Approved a resolution granting.

The Roots are a men's team that plays in the second division of the USL Championship League, while the Souls play in the women's USL W-League and are scheduled to play in the USL Super League in 2025. The Roots currently play their home games at Pioneer Stadium. The Souls will play at the CSU East Bay Campus in Hayward, while the Souls will play at Merritt College in Oakland.
