North Korea's state television aired a recent inter-Korean women's soccer match over the weekend, in particular referring to South Korea by its official name, the Republic of Korea, amid a wave of North Korea's policy toward its southern neighbor.
On March 13, North Korea's U-20 women's team defeated South Korea 3-0 in the semifinals of the 2024 AFC U-20 Women's Soccer Asian Cup, with Korean Central Television (KCTV) broadcasting the match on Sunday. The teams are respectively called Korea (조선) and Republic of Korea (한국).
