EA Sports has released its rankings of the top 100 players for the College Football 25 video game, which is set to be released next Friday, July 19th.
Despite the talent-packed roster, the Texas A&M Aggies only had one player ranked in the top 100 in the country. Some will think it's Connor Weigman. Others will think it's Bryce Anderson, Taurean York or Tyreek Chappell.
These are all great predictions, but the only Aggie ranked in the top 100 is none other than defensive end Nic Scourton, who just transferred to Texas A&M in the offseason after two seasons as a Boilermaker.
Scotton had an overall rating of 90, which included a speed rating of 82 and an awareness rating of 91, good enough for him to be ranked 88th among the top 100 players.
A native of Bryan, Texas, Skorton was quite the playmaker at Purdue during the 2023 season. While he only played in 11 games, he recorded 50 tackles, 33 solo and 17 assists, 15 of which were for lost yards. He also recorded 10 sacks, three passes defended and one forced fumble. Skorton announced he would be leaving West Lafayette, Indiana, to return to his hometown of the Brazos Valley following the 2023 season.
No college football player earned the coveted 99 overall rating, a favorite among Madden athletes like Patrick Mahomes or Justin Jefferson. The three players with the highest overall ratings were national champion Michigan cornerback Will Johnson, Louisiana State left tackle Will Campbell and Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II, all of whom received an overall rating of 96.
Here is the list of the top 10 players:
1) Will Johnson, CB, Michigan, 96th overall
2) Will Campbell, LT, LSU, 96th overall
3) Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State, 96th overall
