Globe meeting explodes as rivals nearly take blows
Nikita Tze's latest pay-per-view event gets off to a fiery start after two entourages participating in tonight's IBF world title fight get into a heated argument over gloves during a regulations meeting. Some say the argument turned almost physical.
Fox Sports Australia reports that IBF Light Heavyweight Eliminator contestants Jerome Pamperone and Malik Zinado were involved in a heated altercation that ironically had nothing to do with the gloves being used. However, the allegations were made with contempt.
Zinado was given three gloves by Pampelone's team, one of which reportedly had the Kiwi's name written on it.
However, despite naming his rival, Ginado decided he wanted the glove, much to the surprise of Pampelone's camp.
It was a scene of tension and abuse, with someone seen on the table and Zinado's brother reportedly throwing a glove at Pampelone's trainer Isaac Peach.
The exchange took place Tuesday night during a Globe meeting inside the Entertainment Quarter offices, with tonight's co-main bout set to be an explosive affair between two undefeated fighters. is certain.
With tensions between the two sides nearing boiling point, authorities took drastic measures to increase security both at ringside and in the audience.

Pampelone, who fights based in New Zealand and is signed to No Limit Stables, is undefeated in 18 fights, while Libyan-born Zinado is on a tear with a 21-fight winning streak.
This comes after No Limit CEO George Rhodes reminded all fighters that there is a $20,000 bonus up for grabs for a KO or performance that night.
In the main event, Tszyu will look to maintain his undefeated record against clumsy Italian challenger Danilo Creati.
