Anderson said the camp, for third through eighth graders, will allow kids to participate in football skills and drills with NFL and NCAA Division I players. The high school camp will be the official combine experience, and the athletic testing will be run by Zybek Sports, which also hosts camps around the country, including the NFL Combine, where college players showcase their talents ahead of the NFL draft.
“It's a great opportunity for high school students to compare their numbers with some of the best players in the country,” Anderson said.
Anderson grew up in Atlantic City and graduated from Absegami High School in 2014. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound defensive tackle had a stellar career at Bucknell University, where he was named the 2017 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and was a three-time first-team all-conference selection.
Anderson signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and played for the team through 2020. He then played for the Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons. He spent last season with the Washington Commanders and is currently a free agent.
Anderson lives in Galloway Township with his wife, Gianna, and their 10-month-old son.
