Following the recent announcement from the Federal Communications Commission regarding the termination of the Affordable Connectivity Program after April 2024, Nex-Tech is pleased to announce our commitment to ensuring a seamless transition for our valued customers. Masu.
Founded in 2021, ACP currently offers discounts on monthly internet bills to eligible households. The FCC has made it clear that April 2024 will be the last month in which the ACP will be fully funded due to a lack of additional funding from Congress. As a result, from May 2024 onwards, households across the country will no longer receive monthly discounts on broadband services.
Understanding the potential impact on customers, Nex-Tech is stepping up to cover the remaining credits for May.
“While ACP benefits include a final partial credit in May, Nex-Tech is offering a full $30 credit and is committed to helping our customers minimize disruption to their services and budgets.” said Dustin Schlaefli, Director of Customer Engagement.
Additionally, Nex-Tech wants to ensure its customers are aware of affordable alternative options. The federal Lifeline program provides discounts on broadband service to qualifying low-income households. For more information, please visit www.LifelineSupport.org.
For any other questions regarding ACP termination, please contact the ACP Support Center at 877-384-2575. Additionally, the FCC provides comprehensive and up-to-date information about ACP at www.fcc.gov/acp and https://affordableconnectivity.gov/.
We encourage our customers to contact their legislators to show their support for continued funding for ACP. Resources to help you find contact information for members of Congress are available at https://www.dontdisconnectus.org/.
Nex-Tech is committed to providing unparalleled service and support during this transition period and ensuring our customers continue to enjoy reliable and affordable broadband service.
