The last person to be admitted to Duke University Julia Behringer, Attacker from Munich, Germany.
Pam Bastien About Boehringer
“Duke True, Julia Behringer program. Julia is originally from Munich, Germany, and plays in the women's first division for her club, Münchner Sportclub. She also represents Germany as a member of the U-21 German national team. Her extensive playing experience as a striker and midfielder will undoubtedly help us continue to grow and strengthen our offensive game and score more goals. Julia's enthusiasm for being a student-athlete at Duke is highlighted not only by her passion for hockey, but also her desire to earn a valuable degree from Duke. Her passion for both academics and field hockey makes her a great fit for our team. We look forward to seeing Julia on campus in a Duke uniform soon. Welcome, Julia!
A native of Kingston, New York, Behringer will be coming to the Duke campus after a stellar career with Bundesliga side Münchner Sportclub, where she played as an attacker and midfielder for both the club and the German Youth National Team. During her time with the club, Behringer was the premier scorer and helped lead the team to multiple Bavarian Championship victories. A two-time South German Indoor Champion, the 5-foot-6 Behringer was the German Indoor Hockey runner-up in 2024.
Behringer has been a mainstay of the German youth national teams since first joining the U-16 team and has appeared in seven German championships during her hockey career, with her greatest international success coming last summer when she led the German U-18 national team to the European Championships as the only Bavarian player in the roster.
