Regardless of how the New York Knicks' season ends, it's clear that the team has a lot of promise for the future.
Bleacher Report ranks each NBA team based on three-year projections and ranks the Knicks seventh.
”[Jalen] branson [Julius] Randall [OG] Anunoby (player option), Robinson and Bojan Bogdanovic are under contract for next season. “Brunson's former teammates at Villanova, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo, will also be in the mix, bringing the same grit and chemistry they now have,” Bleacher Report wrote, “and New York will have… There's still a ton of draft capital to throw in a trade to make up for this.'' They could group together or even pursue another star between now and the 2027 Finals. ”
The only teams ranked higher than the Knicks in this exercise were the Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets.
All of the above teams have something in common. That means they have a true superstar who can lead the team during the postseason. Brunson was able to lead the Knicks through a period of injuries that plagued the team. He's been great this postseason, and the Knicks have a chance to do great as long as he remains the team's star player.
The Knicks still have a chance to win this year, and this team will be one of the most dangerous teams in the league for years to come.
