The Florida State Seminoles are coming off an ACC championship season led by star quarterback Jordan Travis, who set multiple school records during his time in Tallahassee. The noses have already had Jared Verse, Braden Fisk, Trey Benson, Jarrian Jones, Renaldo Green and Keon Coleman head to the NFL, with Travis the next to be removed.
The New York Jets selected Travis in the fifth round, 171st overall. He will be the first quarterback drafted out of Florida State since Jameis Winston in 2015.

Travis is coming off a monster season for the Seminoles in which he threw for 8,644 yards and 65 touchdowns, adding 1,910 yards and 31 touchdowns on 409 carries on the ground. He was the only player in FSU history to rush for at least seven touchdowns in four consecutive seasons. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound signal caller from West Palm Beach, Fla., holds career records for touchdowns, total offense, QB rushing yards and QB rushing touchdowns. Additionally, he is the only player in FSU history to score more than 50 passing touchdowns and at least 12 rushing touchdowns.
Travis had an eventful college career. He led the Seminoles to a perfect season, but a serious leg injury cut his season short and changed the landscape of the 2023 College Football Playoff. The Jets aren't exactly taking a chance on the No. 5 Heisman finalist, but his late-round selection was likely influenced by his recovery period.
The Jets are getting a strong-willed leader, with Travis being in the locker room with future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers and prolific veteran Tyrod Taylor as he begins his NFL career. you will benefit from it.
