UFC 303 has seen a lot of changes over the past few weeks, with the final lineup announced just one week before the event.
When Conor McGregor was injured and forced to cancel his scheduled fight against Michael Chandler, the UFC had to quickly fill the spot, and former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill was also pulled from the card, before the same thing happened to his opponent, Carlos Ulberg.
And now, after a series of changes, Alex Pereira will make a last-minute title defense at UFC 303 in a rematch against former champion Jiri Prochazka for the light heavyweight belt. Prochazka will be looking for revenge after the pair first met at UFC 295, where Pereira won by knockout to claim the vacant 205-pound title.
A new co-main event has been added to the card, pitting two-time featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega against rising star Diego Lopez.
Also on the card, Anthony Smith, who was originally filling in for Hill, will face Roman Dolidze at 205 pounds after Ulberg was forced out with an injury.
Rounding out the main card are the only two original bouts scheduled for UFC 303, with recent bantamweight title challenger Mayra Bueno Silva taking on Macy Chiasson and at welterweight, Ian Machado Garry taking on Michael “Venom” Page.
