Price hikes are coming for Peacock.
The NBC Universal streaming service will increase monthly and annual fees for its Peacock Premium and Premium Plus tiers, with the changes expected to take effect before the Paris Olympics this summer.
Peacock Premium will increase by $2 per month to $7.99, and Premium Plus will increase by $2 to $13.99. The annual fee will also increase from $79.99 to $139.99.
The price change will take effect from July 18th for new customers and from August 17th for existing subscribers. The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics is scheduled for July 26th.
This is Peacock's second price increase in recent years, having raised the price of its premium tier by $1 and the price of Premium Plus by $2 a year ago. Premium Plus removes ads from on-demand entertainment programs and includes features such as NBC's live local channels.
