new york The National Basketball Association (NBA) today unveiled the new logo for the Emirates NBA Cup and announced the match schedule for the season's second tournament, which will kick off in NBA team markets on Tuesday, November 12, with the semi-finals on Saturday, December 14 and the championship on Tuesday, December 17 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The Emirates NBA Cup logo celebrates the league's new global marketing partnership with Emirates, which was announced in February. The logo features an image of the Emirates NBA Cup championship trophy, representing the highest level of achievement, and also incorporates Emirates branding to commemorate the newly renamed tournament.
The Emirates NBA Cup 2024 will see all 30 NBA teams randomly split into five groups within their conferences based on their win-loss records during the 2023-24 regular season. The six groups will be announced tomorrow (Friday, July 12) at 7pm ET on ESPN during NBA Today: Emirates NBA Cup Group Reveal. The network will then broadcast NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024 doubleheaders, featuring the Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers (7:30pm ET) and the Atlanta Hawks vs. Washington Wizards (9:30pm ET). The group reveal show will feature appearances by 2023 in-season tournament championship players Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner, New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum and Oklahoma City Thunder forward-center Chet Holmgren.
Emirates NBA Cup group play games will be played on four Tuesdays (November 12, 19, 26 and December 3) and three Fridays (November 15, 22 and 29) “Cup Nights” with each team playing one game against each of the four teams in their group. The single-elimination knockout rounds will begin with the quarterfinals on Tuesday, December 10 and Wednesday, December 11 in NBA team markets, followed by the semi-finals and final at T-Mobile Arena for the second consecutive year.

Similar to last season's inaugural in-season tournament, the Emirates NBA Cup 2024 will be played across two stages: group play featuring all 30 NBA teams, followed by a knockout round featuring the eight teams that advance from group play (three group winners from each conference and one wild card team).
The 22 teams that do not advance to the quarterfinals will be assigned two regular season games (one home game and one away game) to be played on Thursday, December 12 or Friday, December 13 and Sunday, December 15 or Monday, December 16, respectively. Teams that lose in the quarterfinals from each conference will play regular season games on December 12, 13, 15 or 16.
