Embiid will be competing in the Olympics for the first time in his eight-year professional career.
He appeared in 39 games last season and averaged 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting 52.9% from the field and 38.8% from three-point range.
Durant, meanwhile, is seeking his fourth gold medal (he won in 2012, 2016 and 2020).
He is coming off his second season with the Suns, appearing in 75 games and averaging 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.2 blocks while shooting 52.3 percent from the field and 41.3 percent from three-point range.
