NBA players Ivica Zubac and Dario Saric The pair got into a heated argument in the early hours of Monday morning at a nightclub near Athens, Greece, just hours after they had both played for Croatia in an Olympic qualifying tournament match.
TMZ Sports We obtained the video, which was shot inside the popular Bolivar Beach bar around 5:30 a.m. The video begins with the Los Angeles Clippers big man already getting into a scuffle with someone, before several men, who appear to be club security, run up and grab him from behind.
As the chaos unfolded, Saric, who just agreed to a two-year contract with the Denver Nuggets, jumped into the crowd to try to help Zubac but was apparently pushed away by another staff member.
During the scuffle, one man put Saric in a chokehold and threw him to the ground, where he lay for a few moments, while another man yelled at Zubac to calm down, which worked, as Zubac backed away with his hands up.
Eventually, Saric stands up and stumbles toward Zubac… and the group of men push Hooper and the others toward the exit.
Witnesses at the scene said the incident started suddenly and it was unclear what sparked it, and police reportedly did not appear to be at the scene.
On the same day, Zubac and Saric were in Croatia Giannis Antetokounmpo Greece advanced to the OQT finals. Both teams played solid matches.
Zubac finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds, and Saric added 14 points.
Croatia ended up losing the match 80-69, but Giannis and Co. still booked a ticket to Paris.
We have contacted the Croatian team for comment but have not yet received a response.
