Bronny James continues to be one of the hottest prospects heading into the 2024 NBA Draft next month.
The former USC star finished his freshman year averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 36.6 percent from the field and 26.7 percent from 3-point range in 25 games.
Will Dawkins (General Manager of the Washington Wizards) recently appeared on a TV show. Run It Back on FanDuel TV And he talked about James.
Dawkins on Bronny James: “If his name was Johnny James, the media and fans wouldn't care as much, but he still would have gotten our attention. “A guy who did everything in high school and was all in high school'' – The American clearly showed great resilience in bouncing back from everything he's been through, so I didn't expect him to start the year the way he did. No, he finished the year strong and the combine strong. At the end of the day, he's just like everyone else in this draft process. ”
The Wizards would be an interesting team for James, as they are still in a significant rebuilding process.
They are coming off a season in which they were the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 15-67.
The team has missed the NBA playoffs for the third straight season (the last time they reached the postseason was in 2021 when Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal were on the roster).
That being said, the Wizards will continue to grow around talented players like Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole.
