The NBA is a league of brotherhood and relationship building. Often, older players go out of their way to mentor younger players and make sure their future in the league is bright. Khris Middleton may not be a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, but he wants to make sure the NBA's youngest player has a mentor.
During his exit interview from the Memphis Grizzlies, GG Jackson revealed that he received an unexpected text message from NBA champion Khris Middleton.
“I actually got a text message on my phone a few weeks ago that said, 'Hi, I'm K-Mid and I'm looking forward to building a relationship with you,'” GG Jackson said. Ta. – Mid, it's Khris Middleton! I have people like that on my phone right now, which is crazy. ”
Jackson was overjoyed to hear the news and couldn't wait to ask Khris Middleton for advice. GG Jackson is only 19 years old, and he averages 14.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists on 43/36/75 field goals. Getting advice from a player of Khris Middleton's caliber doesn't come naturally to Jackson.
“Kris Middleton, if you're watching this, I'm going to piss you off a little bit, sorry, but I have that access now and I'm just going to make the most of it.”
The Memphis Grizzlies may not be in the NBA playoffs, but they will be in a great position next season.
