ORLANDO — It's time for the crucial Game 5 between the Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The NBA announced Sunday night that the Magic and Cavs will play Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. The game will be broadcast locally on Bally Sports and nationally on NBA TV.
Eastern Conference Playoff Series First Round Heads into Game 5 Tied 2-2
The New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers will play Game 5 of the series on Tuesday at 7pm ET on TNT and MAX. Game 5 between the Indiana Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks will also be broadcast at 9:30pm ET.
The home team has won every game so far. The Cavs' defense, which averaged 84.5 points per game in two road games, is making life miserable for the Magic at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Cleveland won the first game at home 97-83 and the second game 96-86.
In Orlando, the star forward's historic performance turned the series on its head. Paolo Banchero had 31 points and 14 rebounds in Game 3, making him the third-youngest player to achieve the record, behind LeBron James and Magic Johnson. He is the youngest player to accomplish this feat without a turnover, and the first to record at least 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in less than 30 minutes in Orlando's 121-83 win on Thursday. It became a record.
Franz Wagner shined in Game 4, scoring 34 points and grabbing 13 rebounds as the Magic won 112-89 on Saturday. The lack of turnovers made him and Banchero two of only three players to do so well in the playoffs over the past decade.
If Orlando is going to find a way to win the series, they need to find a way to win games at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, and if they can maintain the momentum of Games 3 and 4, Tuesday could be their best. . Shot to do it.
