The Indiana Pacers defeated the Phoenix Suns 98-94 on Tuesday in the NBA 2K25 Summer League at Cox Pavilion.
The game featured nine ties and 14 lead changes, but neither team led by more than 11 points. Phoenix led just before halftime, but Indiana was outscored 29-18 in the third quarter. The Pacers shot 42.3% from three-point range (11-of-26) and 80.8% from the free throw line (21-of-26) while holding the Suns to 34.5% from long range (10-of-29). Phoenix shot just 73.3% from the free throw line (14-of-19) and were outrebounded 52-34 by Phoenix.
The Pacers (1-2) were led by Jahreiss Walker with 19 points, four rebounds and five assists. Johnny Furphy had 18 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Oscar Tshiebwe had 16 points and four rebounds and Tristan Newton had 10 points, four rebounds, six assists and three steals.
The Suns (0-2) were led by Quinndary Weatherspoon, who had 17 points and two steals off the bench. David Roddy led the starters with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Oso Ighodalo had 12 points, four assists and four steals, and Michael Devoe totaled 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Phoenix plays the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, while Indiana plays the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.
