Nate Diaz (0-1 boxing, 21-13 MMA) and Jorge Masvidal (1-0 boxing, 35-17 MMA) will resume their five-year rivalry on Saturday night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, as the action shifts from MMA to MMA.
Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz boxing match date, location changed
Neither Diaz nor Masvidal has yet to capture the UFC title of undefeated champion, but they remain two of the most entertaining, charismatic and daring fighters in MMA. The two faced off at UFC 244 in November 2019, with Masvidal winning by TKO.
Whether or not the rematch should take place in boxing is up for debate, but given TKO's recent partnerships with WWE and UFC, it's true the two could headline a combat sports-light weekend without the interference of a UFC pay-per-view in early July.
Speaking of leaders in MMA, the event, dubbed “Last Man Standing,” can be purchased pay-per-view through a few different outlets, including primary distributor Fanmio, UFC Fight Pass, DAZN, and PPV.com. The card will also be available through traditional cable providers, priced at $49.99, a change from $79.99 two months ago. No reason was given for the change, but it will be the same price no matter which provider you buy it from.
The event will begin with preliminaries at 7:30pm ET/4:30pm PST, followed immediately by the main card at 9pm ET/6pm PST.
