Alex Pereira seems comfortable with a quick light heavyweight title rematch against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303 in just two weeks, claiming his “ancestors” are leading him to the fight in Las Vegas.
Pereira, the former unbeaten middleweight champion and current light heavyweight titan, is scheduled to make a surprise return in just over two weeks in a main event bout against Czech Republic star Prochazka, replacing the injured Conor McGregor in his comeback bout.
Pereira first faced Prochazka at Madison Square Garden last November, scoring an impressive second-round knockout victory over the former unbeaten titleholder, and also handing him his first loss in the promotion.

Pereira, who was conducting a seminar during his trip to Australia, commented on his last-minute call-up to the main event of UFC 303, saying he had no qualms about taking the bout on short notice.
“This battle [with Jiri Prochazka] “It's almost here and there may be some challenges in the preparation period, but if anyone can make this happen, it's me!” Alex Pereira posted on his official Instagram account. “POATAN!”
“This is why I'm one of the biggest names in the UFC, Alex Pereira!” Alex Pereira continued. “I take risks that no one else is willing to take, but I know my ancestors are with me, my spirit is with me and I'm ready for anything.”
Meanwhile, former two-division champion McGregor is reportedly set to be sidelined for at least two months, with the veteran Irish star already scheduled to return in August or September.
Additionally, the extent of McGregor's injuries has yet to be revealed, although reports also suggest that they were not “serious.”
