Mural unveiled at Sacramento Olympic track and field athlete's alma mater
wood. And Interstate 80 opens tonight. Now, a new mural honoring Sacramento's track and field athletes has been unveiled. Henry Andrade competed in the 1996 Atlanta Games. At the time, he was the first and only athlete to represent the country of Cape Verde, located off the coast of Africa. He just got injured in a game two weeks ago, but was able to start on the block. Although he didn't win a medal, it was still an important step. And today, he's back at his former Hiram Johnson High School for the first time in years. Basically, I wasn't going to let anything hold me back. Well, to raise the flag to represent the country and to confirm that we represent Cape Verde. Nothing was going to hold me back. Standing on the starting line, being in the starting blocks and taking the first step. So my name was put on the record book for participation. Okay.Well, Andrade is in Sacramento now to sing tomorrow night
