Mohammed Mokaev is scheduled to fight to fulfill his contract at UFC 304.
Mokaev was originally scheduled to face Manel Kape on the main card, but their bout was moved out of the prelims and then dropped to earlier in the prelims. It was surprising to see a key flyweight bout moved to an earlier stage in the card, but in an interview with MMA on SiriusXM, Mokaev said it was because UFC didn't like his fighting style.

“I don't think they like my style, but that's why I have something to prove in this fight. I need to show everything. Sometimes I try to play it safe, but to the general public it may look boring,” Mokaev said.
Not only does Mohammed Mokaev believe that UFC doesn't like him or his style, but the No. 6-ranked flyweight is also fighting for his contract, so Mokaev believes he needs to put in a stellar performance to re-sign with UFC.

“I have a contract with UFC for my final fight. This is my last fight contractually. I need to perform well to negotiate a new contract and it depends on my performance as well,” Mokaev said. Said.
Mohamed Mokaev will be taking on Manel Kape at UFC 304, but he said he wants to re-sign with the organization and that while he's not interested in the money, he wants and deserves a title fight in his next contract.
“I am chasing the gold medal and I hope that UFC gives me a new contract… Even if they give me one more fight after this, I just want to fight for the belt. I will fight them now or when I defend the belt, I will fight them anyway. Money is not an issue for me. I have never negotiated money with UFC. I am currently the lowest paid of all the fighters and I don't ask for more. I just want to fight,” Mokaev added.
Mohammed Mokaev is 12-0 with 1 NC as a professional and 6-0 in the UFC, coming off a unanimous decision win over Alex Perez.
